10There are 10 people in space right now — everyone currently aboard a crewed spacecraft or station in orbit, from the live crew record.

The count includes everyone aboard every crewed spacecraft and station in orbit — chiefly the International Space Station, and China's Tiangong station. It updates as crews launch and return.

The number comes from Launch Library 2's crew record; it does not guess, and if the record can't be read the page says so rather than showing a stale figure.
